The Benefits of Retiring in North Carolina

The Benefits of Retiring in North Carolina

North Carolina is one of the most beautiful states in the US.  From the beautiful mountains to the breezy coast, the state of North Carolina has lots to offer to those who are looking for a new place to call home.

Let’s take a better look at some of the benefits of retiring in North Carolina, and more specifically, Concord.

  1. The Diverse landscape.  One of the best things about being retired is having the ability to pack up and travel whenever you like, and Concord is in a great location to help you do just that.  A quick day trip to the Asheville Mountains is no problem when you are only a quick 2.5-hour drive away.  Or if sand and water are more your style, no problem, you can easily reach the coast within 4 hours.

  2. Great health care and hospitals. Our 55 plus community, Cumberland, is just a 5-minute drive to Atrium Hospital, and just a 30-minute drive to Presbyterian Medical Center.

  3. The Weather.  Some say that North Carolina only experiences 2 seasons, Summer and Fall.  The Winters are mild, rarely dropping below 35 degrees, and on those hotter summer days you can easily escape to the mountains for a bit of reprieve.

  4. A wonderful Active Adult Community. Another great reasons to move to North Carolina, more specifically Concord, is because that is where our Active adult community, Cumberland, is located. Cumberland is a community that truly has it all.  This 55 plus community has a clubhouse, fitness center, outdoor entertaining area, a walking trail, a dog park, a pickle ball court, included maintenance and more.  Click here to see a full blog on all the amenities of this community.
