Valentine’s Day is on a Friday this year, and any event or holiday that happens on a weekend, makes us more likely to want to do something fun to celebrate!  So to help you celebrate the holiday of love, here are 7 fun and different Valentine’s date night ideas.

  1. Candle Making Class:  At the Paddywax Candle Bar in Charlotte, you can choose the fragrance and create your own custom candle.  Some fun things about this class:  you can bring your own alcohol in, the class is only an hour, they include everything that you will need to create your candle, you can reserve your spot online, and they have over 40 fragrances and 65 vessels to choose from!

  2. AR Workshop:  Located in Afton Village in Concord, is AR Workshop.  You select the type of project that you would like to complete (this ranges from centerpiece wooden boxes to framed wooden art), then you choose the design and size.  They will set everything up for you and walk you thru the step by step process of creating your project!

  3. Recreational Art Studio: Bring your favorite wine or snack and enjoy a night of step by step guided painting class!

  4. Zipline and Dine Valentine’s Edition:  Begin your evening by zipping off the 100-ft. tall Hawk Tower before you traverse your way across a series of rope bridges set deep within the woods. Your adventure will finish with another zipline before a short hike over to River’s Edge for a 3-course, chef-inspired menu, curated with fine wine pairings.

  5. Valentine’s Rocking Weekend:  Corkscrew at Birkdale is hosting a 3 day Valentine’s Weekend filled with music, food, and of course wine!
