Things To Do Safely this July 4th

With all of the social distancing, mask wearing, and overall safety measures that we are taking now-a-days, July 4th might look a little bit different this year.  However, you can still enjoy the holiday, celebrate with family and friends, and stay safe.  Here is our list of “safe” July 4th activities!

Drive-In Movie at Charlotte Motor Speedway: On July 1st, Charlotte Motor Speedway will be hosting a drive-in movie night followed by fireworks!  The proceeds of this event will benefit Speedway Children’s Charities.

2nd Annual CBC Frank Fest at Cabarrus Brewery: We’re excited to celebrate Independence Day with you at the 2nd Annual CBC Frank Fest on Saturday, July 4th! Plant 6 Provisions will be here all day with a special 4th of July inspired menu.  Qsculinarycart will join us from 5-10pm to serve up their delicious specialty hot dogs.  Alatte Sweets LLC will also be here with some amazing ice cream all day.

Fourth on the Field:  Saturday, July 4th at 10 am, start a new tradition at Truist Field with Fourth on the Field.  Bring your glove and a baseball because you’ll have access to the field to play catch. Make sure you have your Knights gear on because you’re going to want to take photos with the Uptown skyline in the background.  A delicious brunch menu can be enjoyed before or after your scheduled time on the field.  Adults are $25, kids 12 and under are $15.

4th of July Concert at GreenLife Family Farms:  Come celebrate America’s birthday with us at GreenLife Family Farms! Gates open at 4 and we’ll have games for the kids, plenty of space to spread out in the field or cool off in the shade, and Terry’s Dawgz food truck will be on site serving up BBQ, hot dogs, burgers, and more! Some southern rock‘n’roll from our very own GreenLife Family Band will kick things off at 6, followed by the Uber talented Lindsay Jordan singing her country heart out, and local favorites Late Night Special will close the night with their genre-less blend of feel good grooves!  Attendees should plan to bring a blanket or chairs, sunscreen, a cooler (we will have some refreshments on site), and a few bucks to throw in the tip jar for our musicians!  This event is free to the public, but attendance is capped out at 500 so be sure and RSVP today!  We will not be having any fireworks this year, but there will be plenty of songs to fill the air!

Backyard BBQ:  Staying home can still be fun!  Have your own July 4th celebration with a BBQ in your backyard.  Grab your red, white, and blue decor, sparklers, and your favorite dish and celebrate the holiday safely in your own home.  Here is a fun July 4th dessert recipe.

However you choose to celebrate, we hope that you have a safe and Happy 4th of July!
