St. Patrick's Day 2016
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and believe it or not there are tons of fun events happening before, on, and after the holiday! So if you are like most of us and have to work on actual St. Patrick’s Day, don’t worry, there will be plenty of other chances for you to drink green beer and search for a pot of gold.
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Mooresville will be held this Saturday March 12. A celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day including two Irish Pipe Bands (including the Town of Mooresville’s own Fire Department Pipe Band!), Irish dancers, green cars, family fun and more. Main Street from Iredell to Center Avenue, parade kicks off at 3pm.
The Rich and Bennett’s 16th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl is also taking place this Saturday! Bar crawls are all the rage now, but there are none bigger than Rich & Bennett’s St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl. In 2009, the Travel Channel declared it as the world’s largest.
6th Annual Green River Rivival brings a touch of Ireland to the U.S. National Whitewater Center this Saturday. Kick of the festivities at the Color Me Green 5k, where participants will need the luck of the Irish to avoid the green dye as they run through the trails. The fun continues at 1:00pm when the river turns as green as a four leaf clover and live music kicks off on Belmont Abbey Island.
20th Annual Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Charlotte Goes Green Festival is a non-profit event, open to the public, that is produced by the Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Parade Foundation, Inc. The parade kicks off at 11:00 am. Then after the parade you can go and enjoy Charlotte Goes Green Festival! There will be something for everyone of all ages to enjoy. It’s the place to be after the parade.
