Enhancing Your Outdoor Living Space

Now-a-days we are all about bringing the outdoors in while creating a space that you can use year round.  Whether it is a chilly morning or a warm evening, having this indoor/outdoor space to use is important to many people.  Here are a few ways that we can enhance your deck so that you will enjoy this space year round.

An Outdoor Fireplace.  We are talking about a real wood burning or gas fireplace, not to be confused with the fire pit.  We recently built a gorgeous stone fireplace on the deck of our Bedford Farms new model home, and we must say it turned out great!  We decided to delete the standard fireplace from the Family Room since we built one on the deck.  Of course to enjoy this custom option we needed a covered porch to go along with it.

A Covered Porch.  With a roof over your head you can enjoy being outside rain or shine!  Plus you get permanent shade from above, no umbrella required!  Of course you still have to worry about pesky bugs, which leads into our 3rd deck enhancement.

The Screened-In Porch.  We recently started using a new screened-in porch vendor.  Now the screened-in porch is made from aluminum, it looks great and is a great addition to any home!

Sliding Glass Doors.  One of the best decisions that we made on our new Bedford Farms model was to add this 3 panel sliding door from the Family room onto the covered porch.  When the doors are closed you have tons of natural light that flows throughout your home, and when the doors are open, you almost double the size of your family room.
