Christmas Events You Don’t Want to Miss This Year

Christmas, it’s the most magical time of the year and not to mention one of the busiest!  There is always something to do and things to see.  Every year we make a list of some of the top Holiday events near us, and this year is no different!  I mean the Holidays are all about traditions, right?  So here is our 2022 list of Christmas Events that you just don’t want to miss!

 

Concord’s Christmas Tree lighting and fireworks.

Holiday traditions return to Downtown Concord with the 25th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony presented by Uwharrie Bank and Eli Lilly on Friday, November 18 from 6-8:30 p.m., and the TrueCare Pharmacy 94th Concord Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 19 beginning at 2:30 p.m. These family-friendly events are free to the public and feature children’s activities, live music and dance, and fireworks.

 

Birkdale Village tree lighting and Santa’s arrival.

Get in the holiday spirit with festive music, holiday performances and activities for the whole family. From Santa’s arrival to the magical tree lighting, there’s something fun for everyone!

Speedway Christmas.

With some exceptions, Speedway Christmas is open from Friday, November 18, 2022, through Sunday, January 8, 2023. On these nights, the NASCAR track is transformed into an epic light display, with 4-million lights, a Christmas village, movie screenings, and more!

 

Charlotte Christmas Village.

The Charlotte Christmas Village begins Wednesday November 23 and runs until December 23. It is located inside the Light the Knights Festival.  Santa will be there every day along with all types of different vendors!

 

Annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Harrisburg.

The Official Lighting of the Town’s tree will be on Friday, December 2nd from 6PM-8:30PM at Harrisburg Park!  Join us for a fun evening of holiday cheer! Food trucks, train rides, local performances & so much more!

 

6th Annual Christmas at Cabarrus Holiday Market.

Join Cabarrus Brewing Company on November 26 to shop for everyone on your list and support local small business!

Their 6th Annual “Christmas At Cabarrus” holiday market will feature over 120 local vendors onsite offering handmade crafts, jewelry, and more. Artists, services and other vendors will be setup to help you find that perfect gift. The best part is, they’re ALL local businesses in our community.

 

Kannapolis Celebration of Lights.

Starting November 20 – December 30, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., come to Village Park and enjoy all the beautiful lights and displays in celebration of the holidays! The Celebration of Lights includes thousands and thousands of Christmas lights, you can ride the Winterland Express, take a spin on the Carousel, and even get some Christmas shopping done!
