The countdown is on to the most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s Day!  This cheesy holiday is the perfect excuse to do something different with your spouse, go out with your girlfriends, or plan a fun night for your kids! To help you celebrate the holiday of love, here are 6 fun and different Valentine’s date night ideas.

1. Candle Making Class:  At the Paddywax Candle Bar in Charlotte, you can choose the fragrance and create your own custom candle. The expert Paddywax Chandlers will work with you through the process, bringing you your wax and wicks and answering any questions you may have! Each candle pouring takes about 35-45 minutes. 2. AR Workshop:  Located in Afton Village in Concord, is AR Workshop.  You select the type of project that you would like to complete (this ranges from centerpiece wooden boxes to framed wooden art), then you choose the design and size.  They will set everything up for you and walk you thru the step-by-step process of creating your project!  On February 10, 11, and 12th they are offering fun Valentine’s Day inspired classes.

3. Pinspiration Lake Norman:  Grab your Girl Tribe and head to Pinspiration Lake Norman for a fun Galentine’s Night making your own beautiful candle!

4. Take a Cooking Class: At Sur La Table located in South Park Mall; you can learn how to make chocolate Macarons. Fall in love with macarons in this three-hour baking class! Their chef instructor will teach you all the tips and tricks for creating two delicious varieties of delicate French macarons.

5. Cherry Treesort: Choose from any of their 5 treehouses and enjoy a romantic evening or weekend out in the woods!  Several of the treehouses are already booked on Valentine’s Day, so why not enjoy the weekend before or after instead?

6. Build-A-Bear: Your kids will love this idea!  Located at Concord Mills or even online, Build-A-Bear is now offering their Valetine’s Day collection.
