Becoming a more organized person might feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to.  By adding in these 4 small changes to your everyday routine, you will become just a bit more organized and in return a lot less stressed.

  1. Wake up earlier.  Sounds easy right?  We don’t mean hours earlier, just an extra 20 minutes will give you more time in the morning and in return might make your mornings run a bit smoother.

  2. Do laundry every day. A load of laundry every day might sound a bit excessive, but it shouldn’t.  By washing a small load each day, you can prevent a massive pile up of dirty clothes at the end of the week.  It can also help you save time by putting smaller amounts of clothes away each day.  Start a load in the morning and then fold and put the clothes away at night.

  3. Declutter daily.  Get rid of obvious trash when you see it, put items away that are just sitting on your counters, go through the mail, etc.  Aim to get rid of just one thing a day that no longer serves you.

  4. Start the night before.  Pack kid’s lunches, have their clothes laid out, their bookbags packed, schedules reviewed, do all of these everyday tasks the night before, and you will be able to hit the ground running the next day.
