Keeping Your Home Safe This Holiday Season

With the upcoming Holiday’s right around the corner, there are a few things that you can do to make sure that you have a safe and healthy Holiday season, especially if you plan to spend time with friends and family.

So here are a few tips that can easily be done to help keep your home and loved ones safe.

  • Celebrate outdoors if weather permits.  Outdoor entertaining spaces are huge this year, and rightfully so.  Being outdoors is one of the safest places that one can be in a group setting.  So if you have the ability to dine outdoors take advantage of it.

  • Open doors and windows.  The big 4 panel sliding doors that are so popular in our homes this year, will be a huge help in keeping air flowing throughout the home.  So slide open your doors, turn on your fireplace, and enjoy a beautiful Fall day with friends and family.

  • Bring your own food.  Yes this one is a bit odd, and might go against all of your “normal” traditions, however, 2020 is no typical year anyways.   Have everyone bring their own meal to enjoy with you, and the best part is, mom won’t be responsible for cooking all day long!

  • Order take out.  Support your favorite local restaurant and order your Thanksgiving feast to go!  This one seems like a win-win to us.  You will be supporting a local business, enjoying amazing food, no one has to wake up early to put the turkey in the oven, and clean up will be a breeze!

  • Keep disinfectants readily available.  Hand sanitizers, extra soap and paper towels in the bathrooms, disinfectant wipes, etc.  If people see these items they will be more likely to use them!
