Easter fun near our communities
Hunting for Easter Eggs has always been a fun childhood event, and there are always tons of local events going on around this time of year. We have compiled a list of some of our favorite Easter Events near each of our communities this year.
Cabarrus County Easter Events:
The Golden Egg Hunt happens in Harrisburg (near our Kensington Forest community). Over 4,500 plastic Easter eggs will be hidden in various parks in Harrisburg: Stallings Park, Harrisburg Park, Pharr Mill Park, Harris Depot Park, and Veterans Park.
- Families may search for eggs between Saturday March 24 and Thursday March 29 during park hours. Plastic colored eggs will have a small piece of candy or a small toy that you may keep.
- There is also 100 golden eggs hidden with a ticket inside. You can redeem your prize at Harrisburg Park on Thursday 3/29 from 6-8 pm.
Events in Concord near our Laurel Park, Woodbridge, Overbrook Manor, and Bedford Farms communities:
- BUNNY RUN FESTIVAL: Celebrate Spring in Downtown Concord during and after the Bunny Run 5K. Join us for inflatables, arts & crafts, face painting, prizes, and dancing with our fluffy bunny. Day: Saturday, 3/31 from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon Location: Downtown Concord.
- Easter Egg Hunt at Hartsell Field: When: March 29th @ 2:00 pm. Ages 2-10 are welcome. Bring your Easter Basket!
- Easter Bunny Express: March 24-25 and March 30-31. Take a 25 minute train ride with the Easter Bunny as he hands out treats for the kids! There are also a host of other activities such as: photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting, and you can even enjoy a meal with the Easter Bunny!
- On March 9th, the Easter Bunny will be arriving at Concord Mills and North Lake Mall.
Iredell County Easter Events:
Events in Mooresville near our Ashlyn Creek/Brookside at Ashlyn Creek community:
- Lazy 5 Ranch Easter Egg-stravaganza: On March 24th and March 31st you can come and celebrate the 9th Annual Egg-stravaganza at the Lazy 5 Ranch! The egg-stravaganza will offer tons of fun for kids of all ages, included a helicopter egg drop! There will also be wagon rides, scavenger hunts, fun games, and food for purchase!
- Easter Eggstravaganza 2018: On March 24th from 1:00-4:00pm at Mazeppa Park. Come out to a wonderful family fun event, where you can enjoy eating some delicious foods, dancing the day away with our DJ, getting your face painted, making balloon animals, and building a sand castle n our sand pit! There will be 20,000+ eggs filled with candy and toys and some amazing prizes! Walk around and enjoy our giant slide, bounce houses, and get your photo taken with the Easter bunny! There will be 4 different Easter Eggstravaganza egg dashes for all ages up to 12 years old – Times will be given closer to the event.
Lincoln County (and surrounding areas) Easter Events:
Events in Stanley near our Gates at Waterside Crossing Community:
- Latta Plantation Easter Egg Hunt 2018: On Saturday March 31st from 10-3, Latta Plantation will be hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt. You can also get photos made with the Easter Bunny, enjoy children’s story time, make crafts, and meet farm animals!
- Hop into Spring: On Saturday March 24th, come out to Robbins Park in Cornelius for a free family event for ages 3-12. There will be tons of fun activities as well as the opportunity to get your photo made with the Easter Bunny!
