End of Summer Bucket List

With the start of school quickly approaching, some schools have already started, we want to help make sure you soak in every last second of fun!  We are lucky to live in such a great area, close to amusement parks, zoos, water parks, and driving distance to tons of fun day trip spots.  So here are our top 5 day trip destinations.

  1.  Lazy 5 Ranch:   Located in Mooresville, Lazy 5 is a great spot to take your kids!  You can take a wagon ride or drive your car thru the park, feed the animals, pet the baby goats, see camels, zebras, giraffes and so much more!  This is a cash only park!

  2. Zootastic:  Located near Lake Norman, Zootastic is a full walk-around zoo, they also offer a wagon ride.  At the zoo you will see a large variety of animals, from kangaroos, to large cats and primates! They also have many animals in which you can feed and pet.

  3. Village Park:  Located in Kannapolis is Village Park.  Train rides, carousel rides, and a splash pad are all located in Village Park, and the best part is that admission to each of these attractions will only cost you $1.50! You can’t beat that!

  4. Tweetsie Railroad:  Who else remembers visiting Tweetsie when they were a kid?  We sure do!  Located in the NC mountains, near Boone and Blowing Rock, is Tweetsie Railroad!  Live entertainment, a petting zoo, fun rides, train rides, and shops!

  5. Lake Lure:  What do you get when you combine the mountains with the beach? Lake Lure!  Lake Lure is a gorgeous Lake nestled in the NC Mountains.  There you will find a large sandy white beach that offers tons of water activities, boats for rent, and much more!

We hope everyone has had a fun and eventful Summer break!
