Happy Pinning

Pinterest popularity is growing by leaps and bounds, and it is ranked 3rd most popular social network (behind Facebook and Twitter).  Pinterest is overflowing with tasty recipes, pretty photos, and cute DIY crafts.

There is no surprise that the categories with the most repins include; home, recipes, food, wedding, and fashion.  Now-a-days girls have their entire wedding planned out on Pinterest before they have even gotten engaged!

So why should you be on Pinterest?  In just 10 short months Pinterest hit 13 million users.   Pinterest allows you to use visual assets like photos as a type of social currency.  See a jacket that you like?  Pin it to your Style board for later, or click on the jacket and you will be navigated to the site where you can purchase it.  By gathering “likes” or “repins” you are not only spreading social awareness of your product or business, but you are also getting a sense of what the public finds most attractive and interesting.

The visual aspect of the site is one reason why it has captured the interest of so many businesses.  Customers or clients can decide on which products they love and want to buy for themselves.  Pinterest is a great resource/ tool when building a home.  Home is one of the top categories!  It is a great place to start gathering your dream home ideas, and it helps keep everything organized in an easily accessible way.
