What To Do Before A Winter Storm

With the upcoming winter weather that we are predicted to have this evening and into tomorrow morning, we thought it might be not only helpful but also a great reminder on what to do in preparing for a winter storm.

Supplies you should consider adding to your emergency kit:

1.  Rock salt to melt ice on walkways.

2.  Sand to improve traction.

3.  Snow shovels.

4.  Sufficient heating fuel.

5.  Adequate clothing and blankets to keep you warm.

6.  Minimize travel.

7.  Bring pets inside! Move other animals or livestock to sheltered areas with non-frozen drinking water.
