Do I need to hire an Interior Designer?

 The short answer is no.  When you build with Niblock you will already be working with our Interior Designer, Andrea, to make all the selections to your new home.

After your blueprints have been drawn and sent to your Builder Representative, Andrea will be contacting your to set up your Design Studio appointments.

 While making selections for your new home might seem overwhelming, and at times you might feel like you will never be able to make up your mind, Andrea will be there to help guide you in the right direction.  So to help make your Design Studio appointment run as smooth as possible, here are some tips that will help both you and Andrea during your design process.

• Have a general idea of what style you want in your new home.  Do you prefer a more classic look with an all brick exterior and stained on-site hardwood floors?  Or is a more modern style home with engineered hardwoods and a stainless steel hood more your preference?   Walking into your appointment with a home style in mind will help Andrea lead you to the best selections for your taste.
• Bring in your color palette.  What is the color scheme that you plan to use throughout your home?  Is your family room rug filled with blues and greys, or more reds and browns?  Do you already have window treatments for your master bedroom, and if so what colors are those?  Having interior colors in mind will help with all other selections, from what cabinet color you select to the granite that goes with it.  Sherwin Williams’ website does a fantastic job with allowing you to explore different color palettes.
• Do you have a specific piece of furniture,  a light fixture, or a piece of art that you are wanting to incorporate into your new home?  If you do, then bring it with you (if you can) or bring photos, sizes, color swatches, etc!  Anything that Andrea can see will help her pull selections that will work well with what you already have.
• Bring in photos.  Start taking photos of what you like in homes that you visit, pull out magazine clippings, or print photos from the web.  Anything that Andrea can see will help her have a better idea of your personal style and the direction you are wanting your home to go.
