Custom Home Ideas
There are many different ways that you can customize our homes. From Kitchen designs to 2-story foyers, the choices you make are completely up to you! Even the placement of furniture can make a big difference in how your home looks and feels.
Take our Arlington Plan for example. We have built this plan several different ways. Although they are all the same floor plan, changes were made for each home.
Lets start with the exterior.
Kensington Forest’s Model home’s exterior consists of stone, brick, and hardie. Mixing materials is a great way to give your home a unique and very custom look. This home also has a side load garage.
Laurel Park’s previous Arlington model consisted of 3 sides brick and hardie on the back of the home. Also having a front load garage changes the overall look of the home and can change window sizes and placement.
When you walk into the Arlington you are greeted by a 2-story foyer. This 2-story foyer adds a dramatic wow factor and helps keep that open feeling that we are wanting in this home.
Of course some families might need an additional upstairs bathroom, and closing in that 2-story foyer gives you the perfect spot for one.
Keeping with the 2-story theme, we move into the Family Room where you will find gorgeous floor to ceiling windows and tons of natural light.
Of course closing in the Family Room is a great option that will allow you to add an upstairs Bonus Room or bedroom.
The design of your kitchen island can change the feel and flow of your space. From an “L” shaped island to a rectangular shaped one, the design you choose will look great no matter what!
Downstairs bedroom or bonus room, you decide! One great feature of the Arlington is the large room on the main floor. We have used this room as both a bedroom and a bonus room. With a large full bathroom nearby, it really works great as either!
The Master Suite. The placement of your bed can significantly change the look and feel of your room. You definitely have a lot more open space when you place the bed between the windows.
Adding or eliminating the columns in your master bathroom is completely up to you and your personal taste!
