9 Habits of People Who Never Have to Clean

Drop Zone Area with built ins

1.)  They put away their clothes every night:

It’s easy to fall into the habit of tossing our clothes on the floor or chair.  It only takes a few seconds to put your clothes away, and you will be thankful later when you don’t have to spend an extra 15 minutes sorting through the pile of clothes on your floor.

2.)  They don’t own extras:

No one needs 5 cheese graters or a dozen extra sheets.  If you don’t need it, get rid of it.  You’ll be saving a ton of space as well!

3.)  they keep a paper trail to a minimum:

It’s easy to leave stacks of junk mail, delivery menus, and old newspapers laying around.  However, creating a good filing system to save the important stuff and toss the junk is key!

4.)  They wipe down every surface after use:

The less grime build up, the less there is to clean.  Mildew, grease, and food stains are not a good look for any kitchen.

5.)  They don’t have beds piled up with too much stuff:

Yes decorative pillows look nice, but the fewer steps it takes to make your bed every morning, the more likely you are to do it.

6.)  They put their shoes and coats away:

It’s common for an entry way to have a shoe pile up or a coat pile up, but it doesn’t look good!  Put your shoes in your closet or if you have cubbies in your drop zone area, use them!

7.)  They never let the dishes pile up:

Taking a few minutes to put the dishes away after each meal, will not only keep your kitchen looking neater, but it will also prevent you from having a sink full of dirty dishes at the end of the week.

8.)  They put things back where the came from:

If you do this, you wont’ have stacks of DVD’s, magazines, books, and toys piled on your coffee table.

9.)  They dust and vacuum on the regular:

A few minutes of dusting or vacuuming 2-3 times a week, will prevent you from having to do a deep clean on the weekends when you could be relaxing!
